Construction Site Logistics Planner

Position

As a construction logistics specialist, you are responsible for independently developing logistics concepts to ensure the smooth and conflict-free supply and disposal of large construction sites. This includes analyzing construction processes, workflows, expected resource usage, and local conditions. Based on the resulting assessment of requirements for necessary storage, container, disposal, and traffic areas, you will develop innovative concepts that ensure the optimal provisioning of the construction site from both an economic and technical perspective.

Job Description

  • Analysis of construction processes, workflows, and project schedules

  • Conducting site inspections

  • Preparation, execution, and follow-up of regular coordination meetings on construction logistics with all parties involved

  • Determination of the fundamentals and requirements for overarching or project-specific construction logistics planning and management

  • Recording and compiling the site’s needs regarding storage, containers, disposal, and traffic areas

  • Development of logistics concepts

  • Conducting feasibility studies

  • Performing quantity surveys

  • Preparation of time-distance diagrams

  • Creation of a logistics manual

  • Preparation and updating of a logistics schedule

  • Development of a risk management plan, including emergency and recovery planning

  • Assistance in the preparation of logistics plan documents (e.g., site layout plans)

  • Support in the procurement of logistics services

Profile

  • Completed university degree, e.g., in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in construction logistics, work preparation, or project management

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Good IT skills (MS Office, SharePoint, Teams, MS Project, construction-specific software)

  • Willingness to travel

  • Driving license is advantage

  • Good communication skills
