On September 19, 2025, an extraordinary board meeting of the Association for Crisis Resilience (BVKR e.V. in formation) took place. The agenda included, among other items, amendments to the statutes and the election of a finance officer. Boris van Thiel accepted the proposal of the current chairman, Rico Kerstan, and was unanimously elected as Finance Officer.

Boris van Thiel brings his experience from the management of Logistics and Management Consulting GmbH (LMBG), where he is currently establishing a new business unit for resilience consulting. Within the association, he aims to raise awareness of the importance of organizational resilience for companies and public administration, strengthen networks, and link scientific approaches with practical solutions. Van Thiel stands for implementation competence and reliable information sourcing – particularly in crisis situations.
